Designing workspaces for the whole family
Home office isn’t just for adults anymore. As families adapt to new ways of living and learning, creating dedicated study spaces for teenagers and students has become equally important. A well-designed study area helps young people develop focus, organisation, and good work habits, providing them with an environment that supports academic success and personal growth.
Enhancing well-being at work and study, wherever that happens, has become a strategic priority for families. Productivity and concentration are closely linked to the quality of the workspace, including ergonomics, proper lighting, and acoustic comfort. These principles apply whether you’re attending video conferences or studying for exams.
From childhood to adolescence: transforming the bedroom
A real project: teen private areas
Adolescence marks a personal revolution; needs and passions evolve, just like the bedroom. No longer quite a child but not yet quite an adult, parents of teenagers understand: the bedroom becomes a mini-home, a sanctuary of expression and study. Needs change in the blink of an eye. How many hours will a teenager spend at their desk each day? Probably a lot, although not all for studying. That’s why it’s essential to personalise this space, taking into account their current passions.
Boy’s study room
In this project in Luxembourg, we opted for a custom laminate desk with three matching shelves, with a hazelnut finish. The pine green wall brings a sense of nature and tranquility to the space.

Girl’s study room
For parents of teenage girls, the bedroom becomes a haven of expression, study, and relaxation with friends. Needs change rapidly: it’s no longer about keeping toys tidy but managing a wardrobe that keeps expanding. With adolescence comes fashion frenzy, and the closet demands more space. It’s a challenge to keep up with trends and maintain order amidst the chaos of clothes. In the same house as the previous project, we merged two rooms into one to create a larger space. Here, Chiara can read, study, spend time with friends, and have enough space for her wardrobe. Both the desk and shelves feature a hazelnut finish, adding warmth to the room.
