This project redefines the living area of a home in Gasperich, Luxembourg. The client asked for a clearer separation between the living and dining spaces, while keeping a consistent atmosphere throughout. Special attention was given to lighting design and integrated storage solutions.
Design and materials
The project features a wall-mounted TV unit in cream tones with natural wood details that introduce warmth and visual continuity. The corner wooden bookshelf was already present in the furnishings and was adapted into the project to offer storage possibilities while maintaining a light and airy aesthetic. The cement-effect wall covering creates a sophisticated texture that dialogues perfectly with the neutral tones of the furnishings.
The dining area is characterized by a distinctive scenic element: an upper terracotta-toned band with LED backlighting that houses a large-format photographic artwork owned by the clients. This architectural intervention visually defines the dining space from the living area, creating a perceptual separation without physical barriers..
Integrated functional solutions
The sideboard near the dining table cleverly conceals two radiators, combining function and aesthetics seamlessly. The vertical fluted panels in light finish allow air circulation while maintaining a clean and organized design. The integrated LED lighting in the upper part of the unit creates a floating effect that visually lightens the composition.
The herringbone parquet flooring, already present in the apartment, unifies the entire environment, while minimalist black accents, from ceiling spotlights to floating shelves, provide contemporary definition. The result is a space that perfectly balances domestic comfort and design rigor, where every element responds to the precise functional needs of a modern family without compromising overall elegance.
